When the Hebrew scribes compiled these records, they stripped away the astronomical keys and converted these natural, cosmic cycles into historical events and moral allegories of human sin . This translation of Egyptian science into biblical stories is evident in several key areas: 1. The Transformation of Nnu into Noah In Egyptian cosmology, Nnu (or Nun) was the personification of the primordial celestial ocean and the deity of the physical Nile inundation . The Meaning of “Noah”: Biblical scholars note that the name Noah translates to “rest” or “repose” in Hebrew, a root that has no logical etymological origin in that language . In Egyptian, however, the word Nnu is simultaneously the name for the inundation and the word for rest or repose . During the height of the flood season, when the fields were submerged, the land rested . A “Just” and “Perfect” Man: The biblical description of Noah as a “just” and “perfect” man directly mirrors the Egyptian Ritual, where the deceased Osiris-Nnu is granted the spiritual right to “carry maat (truth, justice, and rightfulness) at the head of the great bark” . 2. The Seven and Eight in the Ark In the Egyptian myth of the “destruction of mankind” (an astronomical deluge representing the end of a cycle), the supreme solar deity Ra decides to establish a new heaven .
